Collaboration
- How can I share my Reel Production Calendar?
Multiple users can work both independently on their own calendars as well as view and edit
one that is shared. The shared calendar can be viewed by all simultaneously but only edited by one user
at a time. User preferences are provided to control read/write access to the shared calendar
as well as update notification and quick refresh of the latest changes. Micro-Calendars

Other FAQs
- What is the difference between your calendar software and others?
The number one response we get from customers is that The Reel Production Calendar is very easy to learn and use. Most customers are up and
running in minutes, and can get started building complex schedules
immediately. Customers frequently tell us they have been looking for
a scheduling calendar like this for years.
The Reel Production Calendar software was designed and created to
address the limitations of traditional calendars for scheduling
and planning. For example, The Reel Production Calendar does not restrict
the number of events you can place in week row or day cell like
others do; it saves you valuable time by automatically scheduling
events around off-days, allowing you to try multiple scenarios
in seconds.
The Reel Production Calendar is loaded with productivity features because
the team at Reel Logix knows that productivity is about time, your time. Compare
the differences between The Reel Production Calendar and other calendars.
- What is the difference between your software and web based calendars?
The Reel Production Calendar runs on your desktop or laptop, providing
a wealth of easy-to-use features you cannot get from a web based
program and simply uses your network connection to share information
when you need to. Web based calendars are limited in many ways by
what can be provided through a web interface. They work as if you
are navigating a web site, because that is exactly what you are
doing. These solutions can also be expensive and of course when
you can't connect, you can't work.
- Do you offer customized versions?
Yes. We offer a version of our software technology that has
been designed for extensibility and customization and have provided
this service for Fortune 100 companies. If you have specific needs
that are not addressed in our please take
a minute to complete this form
and a Reel Logix representative will contact you shortly to
discuss your needs.
- Do you offer a Macintosh version?
No. The Reel Production Calendar, however, does run on
Virtual PC for Mac. We do plan to support this platform
and development of a Macintosh version is already underway.
If you would like to be notified when this version is available

"I always made do with Outlook or Now-Up-To Date but this program blows those
out of the water! Best features: Suppressing category items so that I can print
a calendar for one vendor, without printing the entire production calendar with
items not relevant to them. The ability to push entire projects by whatever
time period I need, with the ability to lock down dates that can't move is the
greatest time-saver ever!"
