• Smart Scheduling and Show/Hide Days and Time...
  Unlike any other scheduling software on the market The Reel Production Calendar will automatically schedule complex recurring items around off-days that you set. You can optionally display Start only, Finish only or Start/Finish times. Resize day columns to maximize your screen use or hide entire days to show just what you need.
• Organize Around Any Type of Project:
  Unlike many rigid scheduling programs, The Reel Production Calendar will allow you to quickly and easily create and organize your project any way you need to.  Keep everything in one folder or organize by event type, project, department, any structure you choose.   Most calendars allow you to create recurring events like birthdays and anniversaries, weekly, monthly and yearly meetings, and appointment reminders and we do as well. However what about events that happen frequently but not always on the same day, like employee sick days? The Reel Production Calendar allows you to create a single event for anything and simply drag it to as many separate days as you need to. Each can have its own length, additional text, notes and even its own style. You can also navigate to each occurrence of an event from a single item. Ideal for employee scheduling, sick day and vacation tracking, managing client contacts, resource usage (Equipment, Rentals, Rooms), anything that does not always occur on the same dates.
• Detailed Notes:
  With The Reel Production Calendar you can attach notes with rich text that can include formatting like bullet lists, links to web sites and documents. Ideal for contact information, results of meetings, client contacts, reasons for employee sick days and more, and the notes will move with the events. Even add notes to unscheduled events and create detailed plans just waiting to be scheduled. You can also attach detailed notes to days as well as drag them between days. When you print your calendar you can include a detailed notes report that lists every note you have entered (unless hidden), along with the date and event information.
• Automatic Labeling:
  Automatic labeling can be used to show how long an event has worked or how long it has remaining. You can choose to display this at the beginning of each week or on the banner itself. You can even choose a start and finish label so no matter where you are in the calendar you can easily see when an even has just started and when it is in its final week. • Off Days:

The Reel Production Calendar allows you to choose common off days and even set working and non working days individually.  You can choose how they display and more importantly how events react to them. For example, you can choose to have events automatically hide on off days so when events overlap off days they do not show as working. When you move events or push and pull your schedule, the program will automatically fit your events around your working days, ensuring your schedule always remains accurate.
• Event Style and Position:
  Most calendar or scheduling software will allow you to create banners, but most don't allow the banners to be resized to display more than one row of text, or even allow you to choose a color, size, or what order they appear in each day.
